Our Philosophy

In Anderson’s we believe that people in residential care should be able to enjoy a quality of life at least equal to, if not surpassing, what was possible for them within their own homes.
Older people who live at Anderson’s will receive care and attention according to their individual needs. To this end we provide the following :-

  • We provide comprehensive and ongoing staff training programmes so that staff  are equipped with the necessary knowledge base to adequately care for our residents. (95% of our care staff are currently in possession of a formal qualification in Health and Social Care, Nursing or Occupational Therapy.)
  • We promote and encourage choice for residents in their daily living.
  • We provide a programme of regular interesting activities for residents.
  • We encourage participation and open communication from residents by way of unit meetings as well as one to one through staff and key worker system.
  • Anderson’s  takes  advantage of up to date technology for the benefit and use of residents. e.g. skype and basic I.T. training/supervision available in our I.T. suite.
